Not at all — it's who this is built for. There's no audition and no prior experience required. Every child starts at the same point: sitting down and playing.

Likely, yes. Some kids don't take to note-by-note instruction first — they need to play before they learn the "why" behind it. TMP starts at the drums, not the sheet music, so kids build the connection to music in a different order.

TMP isn't a replacement for lessons — it's a different environment that rounds out the same journey. It's where kids get to play real songs in a group, with other kids, out loud, which most private lesson formats don't include.

Something that's theirs. Every week, your child plays real songs on their own kit with a group of friends, then plays for you at the end of class. Over time, they keep building their skills, add new songs to their list, and grow the kind of confidence that comes from doing something hard and sounding great. Whether they're brand new or have played before, every kid plays at their own level, so they're always growing. Most of all, they get friends who love music too, and an outlet nobody can take from them.

Our kids' drum classes are for ages 6–12. Ages play together, and every kid plays at their own level, so beginners and kids with experience both fit right in. Fall classes meet Tuesdays at 5:30 and 6:30 PM.

Yes! Grown-ups can try our adult drum class free at Free Class Night on Wednesday, Nov 4 at 6:30 PM. No experience needed. Save your spot here.

Yes, through week 3. Your child can jump in and catch up quickly, and tuition is adjusted for the classes they missed. After week 3, I'll add you to the list for the next session so you're first to hear when registration opens.

It's structured and instructor-led the whole time — kids play together on cue, not all banging at once. It's energetic, not chaotic.

Just themselves! Every child plays their own full drum kit in class, and hearing protection is provided. Each student also gets their own drumsticks and a practice pad to keep, so they can play at home between classes.

Each class is 45 minutes. Each session runs for 8 weeks, once a week, same time each week.

No. Your child plays a real kit every class and practices at home on their practice pad. If they fall in love with it and want a kit at home, I'm happy to help you pick the right one.

You're always welcome, and there's a cozy lobby to wait in. Most kids focus best when parents drop off, so feel free to run an errand too. Just be back for the last few minutes: every class ends with the kids playing what they learned for their grown-ups, and the final week is a full concert for the whole family.

Every student wears hearing protection during class, and I provide it. Our kits are also set up with quieter drum heads and cymbals made for a classroom.

Each 8-week session is $378, split into two payments of $189. The first is due at registration, and the second charges automatically to your card 30 days later. That covers all eight classes, drumsticks, a practice pad, photos, a progress video and the concert.

Yes! Every additional family member gets 10% off their tuition. That includes brothers and sisters, and grown-ups who sign up for the adult class too.

Just send me a quick note so I know. Like a sports season, your child's spot is theirs for the whole session, so missed classes aren't made up or refunded, and they'll jump right back in the next week. If I ever have to cancel a class, I'll reschedule it.

Please plan to arrive 5 to 10 minutes before class so your child has time to settle in. Come in through the entrance door, and kids can wait in the lobby until class starts.

Please keep them home if they're too sick to comfortably play or might spread it to others, and just send me a quick note.
